Wild blueberries are smaller than farmed blueberries and contain higher amounts of antioxidants and nutrition. These Canadian wild blueberries grow naturally without any human intervention (no chemicals or fertilisers). We believe they are nutritionally superior to organically farmed blueberries. Their dark blue/black colour shows they are a rich source of anthocyanins. These wild blueberries are apple juice infused, and have no refined cane sugar added.
About Dr Superfoods
Dr Superfoods Naturally Goji Pty Ltd was founded in late 2005 by David Bruckner when he ordered 1 tonne of goji berries as a response to a ‘light bulb’ moment. Out of curiosity and his keen interest in healthy foods, David was googling the ‘world’s healthiest foods’ and found that goji berries were often topping the lists for antioxidants and vitamin C. Upon further research he discovered this little red berry was a powerhouse of nutrition. He went to buy some goji berries from a couple health food stores only to find that no-one knew what a goji berry was, including the resident naturopaths. This was when the idea popped in his mind to import a small shipment and introduce them to the Australian market. He took a leap of faith and resigned from his secure but meaningless government job and threw caution to the wind. This was at a time when he was the only bread winner and his first child was still a toddler. There was no Plan B, so David was determined to make his business succeed and not become one of the 45% of small businesses that failed within 4 years of starting.
A couple years later the company diversified into other dried berries high in antioxidants and preservative free, hence the Dr Superfoods brand was born for all non-goji products. The rest they say is history. David’s goal is to further expand the range of premium quality and preservative free snacks and introduce other new and exotic superfruits.
