EM Super Foods Premium Aztec Black Chia Seeds are sourced from the Chia Seed Growers farming cooperative in Southern Mexico. Harvesting one of the original strains of the Salvia Hispanica L. variety of Chia. Our Chia seed strain was one of the principle whole food seeds of the Aztec diet. We at Chia Seed Growers are the only grower-producer and processor that farms within the region where the Chia seed originated from.
Our traditional farmer cooperatives grows at the proper extreme high altitude in the high mountain, volcanic rich soil of Southern Mexico. Our unique growers areas not equalled anywhere else in the world and offer us an opportunity to produce a remarkably high antioxidant seed, rich in dietary fibre, protein and omega 3's.
